EDC Launches Federal Safety Compliance Services

Engineering Design Consultants, Ltd. (EDC) recently opened its new office in the Southwest. EDC now has four offices to serve its customers: Oregon, Southwest, Michigan and North Carolina.

Engineering Design Consultants, Ltd. (EDC) became an approved vendor today for Blackhawk Automotive Plastics, and Freightliner LLC subsidiaries Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation and Western Star Trucks. EDC employees have already begun working on-site at all three companies.

2001 CADEE Image Contest
(Click here to read the press release) EDC received a first place designation in this year’s CATIA Award for Design and Engineering Excellence (CADEE) contest. The contest, sponsored by Dassault Systems, CATIA Solutions Magazine, COE, and IBM, honors cutting edge engineering designs created using CATIA software. EDC’s ‘N Touch wireless PC design was one of only six designs to win an award.

This 2001 CATIA Award for Design and Engineering Excellence is not the first award ever bestowed on the very innovative ‘N Touch design. In 2000 the ‘N Touch design earned the EDC engineering staff the prestigious Intel award for outstanding delivery of a concept PC platform.

The ‘N Touch was also featured on the IBM Product Lifecycle Mananagement website, in Machine Design Magazine, and in the German publication Computer Channel. To view the 'N Touch and other CADEE Image winners, click here.
