EDC Consumer Products
EDC is large enough to handle most any job, but small enough
to give personalized service to our clients.

EDC is confident in its ability to design your product in a way that
meets and exceeds your expectations.

It is our goal to create relationships that last!

EDC designed the Black Out for Kershaw Knives. EDC came up with the conception, design and production of the knife in record time. The Black Out was named Blade Magazine's 1999 Best Buy.

Showing their diversity, EDC re-designed the rod-holder base of the Bowflex. This was a component that held the power rods of the machine together. With EDC's depth of knowledge in product design and analysis the process of optimizing this component was easy, resulting in tangible benefits in the final product.

Created specifically for the effective capture of bark beetles, the new PTBB is being touted as the most cost-efficient and effective bark beetle trap on the market. The current Intercept PTBB trap design is an overall improved, modified version of an earlier Intercept bark beetle trap.

Thanks in part to design aid from EDC, the PTBB trap is now stronger, more durable, more cost-effective and better built than the original Intercept beetle trap. The new PTBB trap is possibly the most earth-friendly bark beetle trap on the market. The PTBB trap uses considerably less insecticide than other traps, and offers a water only method of beetle eradication.

EDC once again shows its diversity in the engineering and design industry. Portland-based Personakey Corp. enlisted EDC to help in the design of their new first-of-its-kind, biometric locking storage case, the TouchOpen.

No more locks and keys and forgetful passwords or key codes. Biometrics are the wave of the future in security. Previously only used in science fiction, Biometric technology provides the ultimate in security using fingerprints, retina scans and voice recognition. Biometrics provide quick and easy, yet extremely secure, access for the owner. This particular new storage case can only be opened by recognized fingerprints.
